Gamespy shutting down

Bad news for all Codename Eagle players: Gamespy is shutting down. This means that starting Codename Eagle servers will try to announce it's presence to servers which are shut down, preventing players from finding any online servers.
The only way to connect to online CE-servers will be if someone gives you the IP-address of the running server, and launch CE with a connect command, or type "connect <ip>" in the console.
An interesting alternative would be if someone had managed to alter the Codename Eagle binaries to announce to a different server. I'm not holding my breath for that to happen, however.
